

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Dell and Lunda Florence (Allen) Cummings, and her brother, Lee Cummings.
Kay is survived by her loving husband, Michael Allen Rountree; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A 1963 graduate of Grove City High School, Kay pursued her passion for music at the Chicago Conservatory of Music. She continued her education with undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and later completed her degree at Santa Monica College. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Humanities from California State University.
Kay was an entrepreneur and educator at heart. While living in California, she owned and operated Creative Expressions, a business dedicated to helping others transform their ideas, notes, and research into completed dissertations and thesis papers. After returning to Ohio, she worked as a legal secretary with Swedlow, Butler and Levine and later with Roetzel & Andress LPA, where she remained until her retirement.
She was also a published author, co-authoring the book Love Beyond Time with her husband, Michael.
Kay had a deep love for the arts and found joy in singing, playing the piano, and sewing. She was especially talented in creating her own clothing and designing and sewing wedding dresses for others. She was a member of Unity Church and was known for her generosity, giving freely of both her time and resources to help others.
Kay will be remembered as brilliant, joyful, kind, and deeply supportive. She had a soft heart and touched the lives of many through her compassion and generosity.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Grove City.
