Peggy Feyh Merritt

Born on December 18, 1932, to the late Vivian and Arden Feyh, Peggy was a proud lifelong resident of Grove City and a 1951 graduate of Grove City High School.

Peggy dedicated more than 20 years of service to The Ohio State University, working at the university’s print facility. She was also a devoted supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes and especially enjoyed cheering them on at football games.

Peggy shared 68 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John N. Merritt, who preceded her in death. Every Saturday night, Peggy and John could be found ballroom dancing at Milano’s, where she would dress to the nines for their special evenings out. They treasured traveling with friends and family, enjoying cruises to destinations such as Alaska, Italy, and Panama. Peggy delighted in showing her children the places she loved and making memories wherever they went.

A creative and talented woman, Peggy enjoyed ceramics, sewing, and crafting. She lovingly made teddy bears and golf cart blankets for family and friends. She also found joy in playing board games and cards with those she loved.

In addition to her husband and parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her siblings: LaDonna (Lloyd) Howard, Velma (John) Canter, Robert (Hilda) Feyh, LaRetta (Arthur) Ferst, Arden Feyh Jr., and Ronald Feyh.

She is survived by her children: Sandra (William) Guerard, Donald Merritt, Patricia (Mark) Leidecker, and Thomas Merritt; six grandchildren; eight great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter who is soon to arrive.

Peggy will be remembered for her polite and kind spirit, her love of family, and the warmth she brought to everyone she met.

A visitation will take place at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123, on February 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Galloway Cemetery, 6301 Alkire Road, Galloway, Ohio 43119.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s name to The James Cancer Hospital.
