

Ralph Francisco, age 88, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18th. Ralph was born on March 3rd, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Yolanda Maria (Guglielmi) Franciso and graduated from Linden McKinley High School where he excelled in football, golf and many other endeavors. Ralph proudly served 6 years in the Ohio National Guard as a Medical Specialist. Professionally, he attended Franklin University before beginning a 4 year apprentice program as a Tool and Die Maker for General Motors. That position resulted in a 28 year career as a Journeyman for the company and an appointment to UAW Training Coordinator and Facilitator of Employee Participation.
Ralph enjoyed many sports including softball, bowling and, his truly favorite pastime, golf. He loved cheering on The Ohio State University football team each Saturday. Although Ralph had a fantastic professional life, and he touched the lives of many co-workers and friends over the years, his devotion to his family will remain a hallmark of his time on earth. His unwavering devotion to his wife Carolyn (Train) for 59 years, and the love he showed his children and grandchildren, will be cherished forever. Ralph will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart and amazing strength.
In addition to his parents and lovely wife Carolyn, Ralph is preceded in death by his brother John J.Francisco Jr. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth (Mike) Comeans, Mike (Michelle) Francisco, Lori (Ron) Botkins and Joe (Ric Hunter) Francisco; grandchildren, Megan, Ben (Krizzel), Luke, and Mia; sister, Nel Mesh and extended family.
A memorial service for Ralph will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, OH 43123, followed by a visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Donations may be made in Ralph's memory to the Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org or the American Cancer Society.
