Sandra J. "Sandy/Sue" Henry

Sandra Jean (née Hysell) Henry “Sandy/Sue”, 74 of Grove City, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home Friday, October 13, 2023. Born July 14, 1949 in Jamestown and raised by her parents, the late C. John L. Hysell and Maybelle (née Hale) Hysell in South Solon, Ohio. Sandy was a member of Camp Fire Girls, she volunteered as a candy striper and was a 1967 graduate of Madison South High School. She worked for Lawson’s and employed by the Department of Taxation for the State of Ohio for 21 years. She loved to bowl, read, craft, play cards, travel, and was the best cook. In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her brothers: M. Richard “Dick” Hysell and John E. Hysell; and sister Barbara Seymour; parents in-law Ira and Helena Faye Henry and brother and sisters in-law William Burl and Dorothy Henry and Saundra Henry. Sandy is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Ronald Eugene Henry; children Jennifer (Mark) Murray and Joseph (Heather) Henry; grandchildren E-4 Colin Henry USN, Kathryn Murray, Christopher Murray, Caylin Henry and Caleb Henry. Sandy is also survived by her brother Donald (Betty) Hysell; sisters-in-law Linda Hysell and Geraldine Hysell; brother-in-law O. Wayne Henry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Sandy’s family will receive friends 10AM-12 PM Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Schoedinger Grove City 4242 Hoover Rd (HOOVER RD at KINGSTON AVE) where her funeral service will follow at 12 PM Saturday. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may honor Sandy by donating to Camp Wyandot, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Columbus Humane. Sandy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Zusman Hospice.
