William J. "Joe" Bottger

William J. “Joe” Bottger, age 63, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Patricia (Egan) Bottger. Joe is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa “Terri” Bottger, daughters, Hannah Bottger, Maria Bottger, sisters, Suzie Atwell, Cindy (Joey) Johnson, Patty Jo (Steve) Horton, several nieces and nephews. Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his Country faithfully. During his enlistment he met his wife to be. They lived mostly in Texas until Terri was discharged. They moved to Ohio where he worked for Progressive and Ohio Casualty Insurance companies. He has worked the last 17 years with Nationwide Insurance as the Director of Commercial Claims. In his spare time Joe enjoyed reading all different kinds of books, playing the guitar, watching action movies and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. A visitation time will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 10-11 am at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY where a memorial service will be held at 11 am with Dr. Jerry Neal officiating.
