Aaron Joshua Kimble

Aaron Joshua “Big Poppa” Kimble, 39, of Port Arthur, Texas departed this life on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born August 14, 1975 in Bunkie, LA to Aaron Spears and the late Fannie Kimble. He was a resident of Port Arthur where he worked at HEB for 20 years. He was a 1994 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Dana Mays-Kimble; two daughters, Daicha Kimble of Port Arthur, TX and Domonique Harris of Austin, TX; four sons, Aaron Kimble and Jason Kimble of Beaumont, TX, Nolan McMurray and Deverell Mays of Port Arthur, TX; father Aaron Spears (Patricia) of Port Arthur, TX; three brothers, Christopher Spears (Mary) and Brian Spears (Quiana) of Port Arthur, TX, Derrick Spear (Vanessa) of Beaumont, TX; three sisters, Wanda Kimble of Port Arthur, TX, Karon Spears of Baton Rouge, LA, Tiffany Randall of San Diego, CA; and man’s best friend his dogs. He also left to cherish his memories, his mother-in-law; father-in-law; sister-in-law; brother-in-law; aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, grandmothers, great-grandmother, grandfather and uncle.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 with a visitation from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and services immediately following at Rock Island Baptist Church, 549 W. 11th Street, Rev. Omar Pickney, eulogist and Rev. Kurt Washington, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
