Carolyn Freeman

Carolyn received Christ at an early age and was a very active member of Carter Chapel C.M.E. Church.

Carolyn was a proud member of the Lincoln High School Class of 1954.

On November 3, 1954 Carolyn married Mr. Murray T. Freeman in Houston, Texas. To this union, one daughter was born. Upon this marriage, Carolyn became a co-partner in the operation and management of Freeman’s Drug Store, 501 West 7th Street.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Murray T. Freeman, her brothers, Lt. Col. Wilbert C. Stevenson, Glenn Stafford, her grandmother, Josephine Heard and her aunt, Mary Ann Francis.

Left with fond memories of Carolyn are her daughter, Kimberly Freeman- Montalvo, her son-in-law, Dr. Jose Montalvo, her grandson, Freeman Knox Montalvo, and her sister Verma Jean Stafford.

Visitation is scheduled from 12:00p.m. until 1:00p.m. Funeral service immediately following on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Historic Israel Chapel A.M.E. Church. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
