Dorris January

Mrs. January was a member of the Church of Christ in Berwick. Dorris was employed and retired as a Surgical Technician at local hospitals in Port Arthur, Texas.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home – Morgan City Location 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA from 10:00 AM until the beginning of funeral services at 2:00 PM, with Christopher DarDar, Officiating. Graveside & Committal Services will be held on Monday May 19, 2014 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park at 1:00 PM, 3900 Twin City Highway in Groves, TX.

Mrs. January leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Phillip Joseph January of Port Arthur, Tx; one daughter, Vivian Elaine January-Smith (Gabriel) of Opelousas, La; a devoted caretaker & nephew Reverend Francis Sweet (Shirley) of Berwick; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Mrs. January was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Robert & Lilter Phillips-Williams; her husband, Philip Ray January; two step-children, Robert Hampton and Jamesetta Hampton Levine; one brother, Robert Williams, Sr.; one sister, Rose Williams Sweet and one grandchild.
