

Evobe "Pop" Billeaudeau, 93, of Winnie, Texas passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011, at his residence. He was a former resident of Woodville and Labelle. Evobe was born February 3, 1918, in Mamou, Louisiana to Arthur and Caroline Billeaudeau. He was a Veteran of W W II serving the Army.
Evobe is preceded in death by his parents, his 12 brothers and sisters, and two grandchildren, Carl Billeaudeau, Jr and Tre' Arceneaux.
Evobe is survived by his daughters, Theresa Hallmark and Phillis Arceneaux and her husband of Gene; sons, Berson Billeaudeau and his wife Judy, Carl Billeaudeau and his wife Linda and Philip Billeaudeau; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pop enjoyed spending his days outside. In his earlier years, he took great pride in raising abundant gardens and hogs. He was very proud of raising, training and hunting a Golden Retriever named Copper. As of late, he enjoyed spending his time "checking out the porch" with his cat, Clue and his special caregiver and great granddaughter, Kayley Burke.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 10 a.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
