On Thursday, May 26, 2011 our beloved loved one Jacob Williams 63 departed from us. He was a native of Palmetto, LA where he was born and raised until he moved to Port Arthur, TX. After living there for 14 years, he moved to Houston, TX were he resided with his wife Sylvia Williams of 31 years until the Lord called him home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rosetta Williams and Gus Thomas; one sibling, Rusell Louis.
He leaves to mourn his wife Sylvia Williams; seven children Brian, Darren, Melissa, Melinda, Timothy, Brent and Chandria; eight siblings Jim Williams, Mary Jane Andrus, Julia Dunn, Randy Williams, Ricky Louis, Patricia Williams, Lanick Louis and Novie Louis; 20 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a special aunt, Mary Ann; and a host of nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at First Sixth Street Baptist Church, 548 Abe Lincoln Avenue, with funeral services immediately following. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
