Born in Beaumont, he was a graduate of North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, and was completing his senior year at the University of Texas, Arlington. He was a gifted baseball player, avid sports fan, loved his family intensely, and was equally cherished in return.
Michael is survived by his father, Michael Donovan Bushnell, Sr., Wazata, MN; stepfather and mother, Robert and Ashlyn Pond Simon, Keller; sister, Brittany Carter, Aledo; and sister, Jacquelyn Bushnell, Keller. A very large and loving family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew also survive him.
A memorial service celebrating Michael’s life will be held Thursday, January 31, at 7 p.m. at Gateway Church, 7501 Davis Blvd., North Richland Hills, 76182. The graveside interment service will be Saturday, February 2, at 3 pm in Groves, TX, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
