She is preceded in death by her parents Willie & Mamie Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories her three children John Henry King II (Sherie) of Elizabethtown, KY, Santhea King (Eric) of Baton Rouge, LA and Jeremy King (Stephanie) of Dallas, TX; loving siblings Dorothy Wilson of Port Arthur, TX, Commodore Davis, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, Linda “Maia” Shelby, Brenda Dyer (Jimmy) and Willetta Barkers all of Houston, TX; two uncles, Wilbert Smith of Port Arthur, TX and Tillman Washington of Boyce, LA; two aunts, Lucille Jackson of Los Angeles, CA and Earnestine Alexander of Port Arthur; TX; 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with a viewing from 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
