Sara Levine

On Wednesday, November 13, 2013 Mrs. Sara Levine entered into eternal peace at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston, TX. Mrs. Levine was born February 3, 1937 in Rayne Louisiana to the parents of Dora Richard and Nelson Jones. Upon graduating from Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School, she attended Clark/Arcadian Parish Training School and Lincoln High School.

Mrs. Levine was employed as a Receptionist for the Food Stamp Bank and also worked as a Provider. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters and three brothers. She was a member of the Madonna Social and Civic Club and Mr. & Mrs. Social and Civil.

Sara leaves to mourn her passing a devoted husband, Adolph D. E. Levine, a daughter, Estella P. Smith and one son, Anthony D. (Stacey) Prevost both of Port Arthur, TX. , two brothers, Charles (Charlene) Lofton of Rayne, La., Nelson (Miriam) Jones of Beaumont, TX., and three sisters, Elzenia Struass of Long Beach, CA, Marie (Mark) Jones of Crowley, LA, and Nelina Jones of Beaumont, TX; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She also leaves to mourn two Goddaughters, and very good neighbors, John & Rachel Doncontell and Carroll & Verlesia Leblanc.

Visitation is scheduled from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
