

After serving his country in World War II in North Africa and Europe, he returned to Port Arthur, Texas where he worked for Gulf Oil Refinery as a machinist for 36 years.
Tommy is survived by his wife Berniece of 66 years, daughters, Carolyn Olson and her partner Kenneth McNutt of Pearland; Kelly Collum and her husband Bern of Katy; sons, Danny Pierce and his wife, Susan of San Antonio; Joey Pierce and his partner, Tina Breland of Fannette; grandchildren, Tom Olson, Chris and his wife Lynn Olson, Drew Pierce, Natalie Pierce, Buddy Collum and Cole Collum.
Tommy was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he helped construct the first church on the current site and served as an usher.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Port Arthur with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, with Rev. Stephen McCrate officiating.
