

Orlando, Antonino (Tony) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved husband and father, Antonino (Tony) Orlando in his 55th year. Tony was born on January 2, 1962 in Vicari, Palermo, Sicily, Italy. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1966. Tony was the much loved and devoted husband of Emily (Martinello), and the very devoted father of Maria, Monica, David, and Nicole. He joins his father Antonino Orlando (April 5, 2008), and will be sadly missed by his mother, Lina (Ippolito) Orlando. He was the older brother of Joe (Karen), and Rosana (Allan Grace), whom he loved very much. He is the son-in-law of Gina Martinello and predeceased by his father-in-law, Elario Martinello (January 10, 2000). Tony is survived by Emily's family: Angie and Jeff Hunt, Anna and Kevin Hopkins, Dina and Mark Fisher, Deloris and Keith Miller, John and Kathryn Martinello, Rosie and Skinner Marshall, and Gino Martinello. He will be lovingly remembered as Zio Tony and Uncle Tony by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A Vigil for Tony will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph's Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment, Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or to the Trillium Gift of Life in Tony's memory would be appreciated by the family.
