It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of
our wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Barbara Joan Harry on June
21st, 2023. Barbara was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on February
28th. 1949. She spent her first 20 years in New Jersey before moving to
Ontario in the early 1970’s. After spending some time in Toronto, she
settled in Guelph and resided there for about 50 years.
Barbara leaves behind 4 children, 3 step children and 10 grandchildren.
She was the devoted and loving wife of Edward Becker for the last 19
years.
Besides raising 4 children, Barbara also was a supply teacher, a reiki
practitioner and really enjoyed working as an extra on movies. She loved
reading and music but, in recent years, her ultimate joy came from visiting
with her grandchildren. She volunteered for many agencies including the
Guelph Distress Centre and Hospice. She will be remembered for being full
of kindness, generosity and love. She will be dearly missed!
As per Barbara’s wishes, no funeral or visitation will be held.
