Bruce MacDonald Brown

Brown, Bruce -- Peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Guelph General Hospital, at the age of 87. Bruce was born in South Wales on January 1, 1923. He was the beloved husband of Valentina Brown. Loving father of Ron Brown and his wife Mary-Anne and step father of Loretta Ksiadz and her husband Henry. Dear grandfather of Dianne Hoelker, Melissa Brown, and Jeffrey Thomas and great-grandfather of Carson and Paetra Garbotz. Papa of Robbie and Steven Ksiadz. Predeceased by his first wife Teresa Brown (nee Edwards) on October 21, 1980, his parents William and Harriet and his three brothers Angus, Horace and Ken. Bruce was a employee of the W.C. Woods Co. for 41 years and was a founding member of the quarter century club. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 234, Second World War Veteran, 29th Fld Battery (R) (R.C.A.) Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends are invited to meet at the Funeral Home prior to processing to Marymount Cemetery on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home 519-822-4731 or send condolences at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com).
