Christopher Frederick Daly

Christopher Frederick Daly was born December 10, 1958 and passed away at his home in Marden after a brief illness Saturday, August 2.

Predeceased by his father Donnell Daly. He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his mother Joan Daly (LaFontaine) and his sisters Suzanne (Layton Phillips), Shannon, Megan (Joseph Ramseyer) and Kerry (Ted Smith). He leaves behind nephews and nieces.

Christopher was a gentle and at times shy person, he found comfort in a scarf being either on him or within reach, he enjoyed watching cars and going for car rides, playing a game of catch or the enjoyment of watching you chasing the ball he threw just out of your range, looking out a window at something that caught his eye, and going for community outings.

We enjoyed his laughter, especially when you got it right. He taught us many things but especially about understanding and acceptance.

The family would like to give special and heartfelt thanks to the staff (and peers) at Community Living, Marden House for being Christopher's everyday family. We truly appreciate your compassion, kindness, understanding and respect shown to Christopher over the years. For being by his side, literally and figuratively throughout his time there and as he came to the end of his life. For providing him with a home with a sense of community, laughter, joy and serenity. Your thoughtfulness and commitment in making an environment (home) for Christopher and others with love and care is exceptional and heartfelt, of such great importance and comfort for us. You are truly incredible people with an abundance of heart!

We'd like to thank the palliative care team (Bayshore) for their commitment of care and Dr. Lund.

Cremation has taken place.

A Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (409 Paisley Rd. Guelph)on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 10:00 am with a private burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in support of Community Living Guelph Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
