Clara Kristoff

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Clara Kristoff at the Guelph General Hospital on June 17, 2015 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of Michael Kristoff. Devoted mother to her two sons David and Larry. Cherished Daughter of the late Mary and Nick Chonka and daughter-in-law of the late Rose and Frank Kristoff. Pre-deceased by her younger sister Yolanda Kalapos. Dear sister-in-law to Eva and her late husband Frank Kristoff as well as the late Rose and Cecil Muncaster. Aunt to many nieces, nephews, and especially John Kalapos. She will be sadly missed by all her long time friends from Hamilton and Barrie, especially Grace and Bert Takacs and Liz Kroll. Her neighbours and fellow club members, especially Bimi Dwyer, at the village by the arboretum gave her much joy and friendship over the past several years from which we are all eternally grateful. Her door was always open, with arms extended in welcome to all, her table always full with great food, good conversation, and a warm heart. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph for visitation on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 12 – 2 p.m. followed by a celebration of Clara’s life in the Hart Chapel at 2 p.m. A private burial will be held at union cemetery, Barrie, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to War Amps of Canada or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
