Connie Maria Medeiros Roberts

Connie Roberts, 66, peacefully passed away on December 3rd 2020 surrounded by her beloved family. Connie was born on March 29, 1954 in Terceira, Portugal, immigrating to Canada in 1968, where she called home for most of her life. Connie was a wonderful woman, her family was at the center of every decision she ever made, her love for her family was evident to all that knew her. Often referred as a “force” by her coworkers, she was just as loyal at work as at home, she worked in communications at Bell and affiliates for over 30 years. She loved to travel and did so as often as possible with her friends and family. Connie’s favourite thing to do was be with her grandchildren, where ever and whenever possible. She never missed a recital, practice, concert or anything else she deemed important (which was every little thing).

She will be fiercely missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband Doug, three children, Sean, Nicole (Jeff), Julia (Neal), four granddaughters Ella, Charlotte, Blakeleigh, Madelyn, and her two brothers, John (Hercelia) and Dennis.

Connie's family will receive relatives and friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and regulations, please register using the RSVP button for the visitation AND/OR service or call the funeral home at 519-821-5077 to reserve your spot if you wish to attend. Social distancing practices will be in place and masks are mandatory. If you are feeling unwell or have any signs or symptoms, the family kindly requests that you do not attend. The Celebration of Life will be live streamed on the internet via ZOOM for those who can not attend. Link to follow below. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joseph Brant Hospital Cancer Clinic would be appreciate by the family.
