Don Bard

BARD, Donald Arthur— Passed away at the Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph, on Friday, October 4th, 2013. Don Bard, in his 88th year, was the beloved husband of the late Ann Rosina Bard (nee Moon). He was the dear father of Carol Bard(Fred Zenger), Lynda Bard Teal (Allan) and Cathie Hosker (Bruce), all of Guelph, and Brenda Tsanoff (Jim) of Cape Chin and David Bard (Andrea Marczenko) of Burlington. Don is remembered by seven grandchildren: Erica Casemore(Chris), Josh Myers, Matthew Wagar (Christina), Ashley Hosker, Evan Hosker, Krysta Astins, Emma Bard Teal and by three great-grandchildren Jackson and Isabella Casemore and Laila Walser. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Bard of St. John’s, NL. Don is predeceased by his sister Irene [Bond] and by two brothers, Harold and Douglas Bard. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service to commemorate Don’s life will be held in our chapel on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 12 noon. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that in lieu of flowers that a charitable donation be made to the Royal Canadian Legion as Don was a WWII Veteran.
