Smith, Donald Peacefully at his home on Friday, May 30, 2008, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Heffernan) Smith. Loving father of Patricia (Steve) Bowley, Michael (Sonja) Smith, Janice (Mike) Webber, Murray (Alicia) Smith, Ellen (Frank) Renda, Mark (Jill) Smith, Peter (Janette) Smith, Paul (Sandra) Smith, and Teresa (Rob) Lambden. Cherished grandfather of Joshua, Chris, Kevin, Claire, Alison, Colleen, Matt, Natalie, Daniel, Tony, Emma, Olivia, Charlie, Colleen, David, Hannah, Maggie, Julia, Jake and Katie. Dear great-grandfather of Austin, Liam, Nicholas, Roxanne, Bella and Dominic. Don will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents and brothers Bob and John Smith. Don was a member of the 11th Field Regiment Militia, Royal Canadian Artillery, where he served as Battery Sergeant Major. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Don will be held on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of Our Lady, 24 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
