Else Mary Nagel Murphy

Else Mary Murphy, in her 92nd year, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2020 surrounded by her family. Else was the loving wife of Frank Murphy for 64 years and she will be missed by their children, Ron Murphy (Sandy), Karen Hodgson, and Debbie Murphy (Réjean). Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Angela), Michael (Melissa), Katrina (Aaron), Lindsey, and Kimberlee. Great grandmother of Mason, Asher, Eleanor, Harrison, and Autumn. Survived by her sister Thea Wickert and predeceased by her siblings Gunter, Erika, Edith, Eva, Hebert, and Eberhard. Remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Sid Brodvsky, Dr. Carrie Schaefer, the staff at the Guelph General Hospital and at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for their compassionate care.

Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St, Guelph, at 11 a. m., followed by a reception at the church hall. Cremation to follow. Else was a past member of the Catholic Women’s League and various other charitable organizations so, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent De Paul would be appreciated by the family.
