Loving wife of Jerzy for 51 wonderful years. Predeceased by her parents Stanisław and Janina Pniewski. Predeceased sibling of Lucyna Olkowska, Mieczysław Pniewski. Loving mother of Agnieszka Henriquez (Mario) and Piotr Polaski (Sonia). She will be missed by grandchildren Victoria, Christopher, Ethan and Suzette. Treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all her friends and extended family.
Elżbieta moved to Canada from Poland. She was a devoted wife to Jerzy, and was an exceptional cook whose meals brought the family and friends together. Elżbieta was the heart of our family, steadfast in her care, and generous with her time. She found joy in the little things: tending to her garden and ensuring that everyone who entered her home felt welcome and loved.
Her life was marked by deep commitment, to her family, her faith, and to the values she held dear. She will be remembered for her gentle strength, and her loyalty and kindness.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and support for the support staff at St. Joseph’s hospital and Riverside Glen Long Term Care. We’d also like to thank friends and neighbours for their love and care during the past three and a half years.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 7 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N. Guelph. Vigil prayers at 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 98 Alice St. Tuesday, July 8 at 11:00 am followed by entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum at Marymount Cemetery.
