We are sad to announce that Gary passed away on August 12, 2021 surrounded by his family's love. Gary is survived by his wife Kay, children Andrew (Amanda), Craig (Nicole), and Gemma and grandchildren Eirlys and Avery. Gary is a much loved and loving husband, amazing father and proud granddad.
In his younger days Gary enjoyed football, cycling, camping, hiking and canoeing. He was a proud Canadian, a history enthusiast, an avid reader, chess player and wonderful storyteller. He coached baseball, rarely missing any game his children played in and had an innate ability to find any baseball diamond, curling club or basketball court, usually via "the back way". He had a wonderful sense of humour with a quick, sometimes irreverent wit. He was resilient, resourceful and creative. In his later years Gary found a passion for woodworking and painting.
Our family would like to thank the entire medical team at Guelph General Hospital, Dr. S. Moodley and Surrey Street Prescriptions for their care over the years.
