

LAWRENCE, George Edward— It is with great sadness that the Lawrence family announces the peaceful passing of George, at age 87 years, at Cambridge Country Manor, on Tuesday March 18th, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Enid Lawrence and the dear father of Connie Peters of Grand Prairie, AB, Doug (Karen) Lawrence of Moorefield, Linda Trudell, Randy (Joyce) Lawrence and Cathy (Don) Waller, all of Guelph, and father-in-law of John Reeve of Acton. George is survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Reeve (March 15, 2012) and by his great-grandson Adam Cunningham (August 4, 2011). He leaves behind his best friend, the Corky Bird. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Cambridge Country Manor for their love of and care for George. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 1 to 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. George’s ashes will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph, at a later date.
