

Salmon, John Benjamin-- We announce with profound sadness the sudden passing of John as the result of an accident at his home in Kitchener, on Saturday, July 19, 2014. John Benjamin Salmon in his 56th year was the loving husband of Lori (Moffit) Salmon of Kitchener. He was the dear son-in-law of Sheila Moffit and the late Don. John will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lynn LaTorre (Rob), Don Moffit (Kim), and Kellie Campagnaro (Alex). He was the wonderful uncle of Jordan, Jaida, Jessica, Nicolett, and Paisleigh. He was the son of John Salmon and the late Shirley (Lilly), and the brother of Debbie Light, (Rick), Reuben, Salmon (Joanne), and Tracy Salmon, and their families. John was President of John B. Salmon Technical Consulting, Vice President of ECAO and Chair of its Codes & Standards Committee, CECA Director and representative to CSA CE Code Committee, and Chair of the Electrical Contractor Registration Agency of ESA, to name a few. John's passion and tenacity in representing the interests of the industry and his friendship with his colleagues will be sorely missed. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment, Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
