WOOD, John Frederick (1940-2018) - Mr. John Frederick Wood at the Guelph General Hospital on December 25, 2018. Beloved husband of Barbara J. (née Davidson) Wood. Dear father of Emily Susan and her husband Alexander Frasson of Rockwood, ON and J. David M. and his wife Christine of London, ON. Dearly loved Papa of Emily, Paisley, Copeland, Brooklyn, Christopher and Andrew. Dear brother of Stephen and his wife Jane of Wroxeter, ON and Mary Seifried and her husband Larry of Guelph. Dear brother-in-law of Dr. Peter Davidson (2005) and his wife Mary-Jane of Niagara Falls, ON. Predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Mary Wood. John was a special nephew of the late Bill and Elizabeth Martin. John was a dedicated President of W.C. Wood Company, a proud Rotarian, Chairman of the Board of Danby Products and a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. John will be missed by all who were a part of his extended family at W.C. Wood Company. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Dublin Street United Church, 68 Suffolk Street West, Guelph at 1p.m. Private family interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. John was very supportive of many charities and in lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
