Karen Berger

BERGER, Karen - Passed away surrounded by family at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Born in Port Loring, near Arnstein, Ontario July 16, 1942. Born again November 11, 1956. She was baptized August 18, 1957 and was received into fellowship at the Arnstein Gospel Hall a week later on August 25, 1957. Raised in the small northern community of Arnstein, she forged out on her own settling first in Barrie and then Guelph where she continued to live for nearly the last 40 years of her life. She loved her Lord, and although she spent many years of her life away from Him she repented and returned only to find He had been waiting for her all along. She was again received into fellowship at the Guelph Gospel Hall on November 12, 2000, where she continued steadfastly with the Christians there until the Lord took her home. Loving and devoted mother of Jami and proud and cherished grandmother to her three beautiful granddaughters, Jessica, Emily, and Annabelle. She will be dearly missed by her sister Sandra and her partner Rick of Guelph, her brother Delmar and his wife Dolores of Sudbury, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many more extended family members and friends. Affectionately known by her grandchildren first and her closest family and friends as Megga, she cherished the blessings God gave her, rarely complained of the toils of life, and lived the example of a godly woman before her family and neighbours. All of her friends are welcome to be with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
