She is predeceased by her father J. William Murdoch, and by her mother Eileen D. Murdoch, both of Burlington, ON. She is loved by her husband, John Michael Little, by her children Christopher and Rebecca, by her son-in-law Robb, by her cousin Beverley Cronk and family of Burlington, ON, by Charles Coughlan and family of Burlington, ON, by Patrick Downes of Guelph, ON, by Steven Downes of Woodstock, ON, by Martha Downes of Burlington, ON, by Ron and Joyce Savoline and family of Burlington, ON, by Therese Gilmour and family of Guelph, ON, and by her other family members. She has also made many friends over the years who love her as well. Despite enduring the ravages of rheumatoid arthritis for over thirty years, Kate persevered with all of her varied interests, always using her considerable talents. Beloved and loving wife, super-mother, artist, designer, historian, university student, gardener, and wise counselor, she was the centerpiece of her extended family. She held us all in her hands. She died in her own bed, in her own home, in the presence of her husband and her children. She was happy at the end of her earthly life and is now, deservedly, among the saints and with her God. She was truly semper amore in all ways. She is sadly missed, but will always be remembered as a fount of confidence, hope and optimism for those who knew her and loved her. Visitation with her family will be on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N. (corner of Dublin St. and London Rd.), in Guelph, ON. Her burial will follow the visitation at approximately 3 p.m., at Marymount Cemetery, half-a-mile north of Guelph on Highway #6. Her burial will be followed by a wake for the family and friends, at Kathleen’s home, 21 Waverley Drive, Guelph, ON. In lieu of flowers in her remembrance, donations to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
