

She was a loving wife to her late husband, Mario (2016), a cherished aunt to Paul, Vincent (Angie), and Danny, as well as Marisa, Sabrina, Laura and Fabio, Ugo and Lucio, Emilio, Roberto and Catia, Tiziana and Antonella in Italy. She was a proud great-aunt to Viena, Joshua and Jacob. She will be sadly missed by her sister Italia, and her sisters-in-law Flora and Susanne. Maria is also pre-deceased by her siblings Loretta, Filomena, Giovanni and Dominic.
Known for her incredible cooking and her vibrant garden—brimming with flowers and vegetables—Maria brought beauty and nourishment into the lives of everyone around her.
A devoted wife and loyal partner, Maria worked tirelessly in all she did, embodying both resilience and care. She had a sharp wit and a clever mind, making friends easily and sharing her kindness generously. Whether welcoming guests into her home or cheering on her favorite soccer team, Maria brought energy and joy to every interaction.
Her love of travel, especially her many journeys back to her beloved Italy, reflected her deep connection to her roots. Throughout her life, Maria was admired not only for her warm hospitality and respectful nature but also for always being impeccably dressed and composed.
A faithful member of St. Joseph’s Church for many years, she carried her faith with quiet dignity and devotion. Maria will be remembered for the life she lived fully—rooted in love, community, and grace.
She will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 9 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N. Guelph. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Tuesday, June 10 at 12:00 pm, followed by entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum at Marymount Cemetery.
