Muriel Josephine Madigan

Madigan, Muriel Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Muriel (nee Fitzpatrick) Madigan, in her 71st year was the loving mother of Colleen (Joseph) Gemin, Lizanne Madigan and Michael Madigan. Treasured “Grammy” of Joshua, Jessica and Matthew. Dearly missed by brothers Eugene (Christine) Fitzpatrick and Larry Fitzpatrick. Predeceased by her mother Gertrude Fitzpatrick and her father Joseph Fitzpatrick. “Aunt Muriel” is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and will be sadly missed by cherished friends and her “wee companion” Maggie. A consummate professional with Royal City Realty for many years, Muriel dedicated herself to finding that “perfect first home” for many Guelphites. For several, she followed up with the perfect second home! An avid traveller, watercolour painter and bridge player in her later years, Muriel took great pride in the life journey of her three children – and no prouder Grammy could be found! Memorial visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
