Oddone Durigon

Durigon, Oddone - It is with deep sorrow and sadness we announce the sudden and unexpectant passing of our beloved husband, father, nonno and friend. Oddone was in his 64th year. He was born May 22, 1944 in Fossalunga, Italy. Oddone will forever be missed by his loving wife Luisa, his caring sons George (Teresa), Tony (Tracy) and Rob (Wendy). He was the adoring Nonno to Matthew, Alexander, Alyssa and Sarah and his angel above Jessica. Oddone is survived by his sister Maria Deliberali (Luigi), his nephew Frank Pavan (Joan)and many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Italy.Oddone is predeceased by his father Antonio (1976), his mother Rosalia (1948), brothers Guiseppe (1991), Amadeo (1997), and sister Irma (1967), his Granddaughter Jessica (2003), his nephew Fausto (2001), his mother in law Anna D Angelo (2004) and his much loved sister in law Mary (2004). He will be forever remembered by many friends and relatives in Italy and Canada. Oddone Durigon will be remembered for his immense pride and love of his Italian heritage, his strong sense of family, his powerful strength, his story telling and his sense of humour. His guiding light and wisdom will be greatly missed, and we will be forever proud of our hero "The Chief". Oddone was a highly respected local business owner; having been the founder of Ceramic Decor Limited. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph where the family will receive friends on Tuesday September 4, 2007 from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm. A vigil will take place on Tuesday at 8:30pm. A funeral mass will take place at St. John's Church, 45 Victoria Road North, Guelph on Wednesday September 5, 2007 at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Marymount Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the CNIB foundation or Jessica's foot print.
