

Patricia passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, March 6, 2026, in her 90th year, after a brief illness.
She was born on February 28, 1937, in Belfast, Ireland.
Patricia was the beloved wife of Anthony (Tony) McCann (2022), with whom she is now reunited. She was the loving mother of Gabriel and Brendan (Rhonda), and a cherished grandmother of Megan Rocher (Matthew) and Jessica Gregory (Braeden). She was also a proud great-grandmother to Charlie and Greyson Rocher.
Patricia was predeceased by her brothers Jim and Ray. She leaves behind her sisters Joan and Maura, and her brother Gerard.
Patricia enjoyed reading, knitting, a Tim Hortons coffee with an apple fritter, and a good breakfast. She had a warm, friendly nature and was known for striking up conversations with strangers in stores, often making many new friends along the way. She loved showing photos of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to anyone she met, always proud of her family and the life she had built.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 12 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. Guelph. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 am. Interment Marymount Cemetery following the service, with a reception in the Fellowship Lounge at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son after the interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
