Robert Bruce McMillan

McMILLAN, Robert Bruce (Rob) - Passed away, peacefully, in his 56th year, surrounded by his loving family, at Toronto General Hospital, on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 5:45 p.m. Rob was the beloved husband, soul mate and best friend of Erika (nee Heptner) McMillan for thirty years. He was the devoted and loving father of Bryan McMillan and his fiancee Michelle O'Hagan and Shannon McMillan and her boyfriend Chris Skelton. Rob is survived by his mother, Helen McMillan, by his brother, David (Anne) McMillan, and by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Michael McMillan (1995), and by his sister, Anne-Marie McMillan (2008). Friends may call to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Rob will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. A private interment of ashes at Marymount Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Transplant and LVAD [artificial heart] Program, Toronto General Hospital (c/o Dr. V.
