Robert Leon Spira

Passed away peacefully in his 94th year at the Guelph General Hospital on Thursday November 11, 2021. He was the beloved husband for 71 years of Agnes (Bisch) Spira and father to Allen Spira (Beth), Brian Spira (Barbara Furber-Spira) and Donna Corke (Peter Goemans). He was pre-deceased by son Kevin in 1983. He was the proud grandfather of David Spira, Gregory Spira, Jessica Spira and Jennifer Corke. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Robert was pre-deceased by siblings William Spira, Ruth Ellig, Sydney Spira, June Hewitt, Audrey Fach, John Spira, Marion Fraser and half-sister Barbara Jackson.

He was a long-term employee at the International Malleable Iron. Bob was also a long-time and active member of the Guelph Curling Club. Always caring for others, for over 50 years he was a regular blood donor for the Red Cross. Thanks are expressed to the staff of the Elliot Community (Ellington) for their care and kindness.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St N, Guelph. A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday November 16th, 2021 at 1:30pm in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
