

GARAFFA, Antonio (Tony)— Passed away, peacefully, in his 61st year, at home, after a long battle with cancer. Tony had a great passion for his craft, the Guelph Storm, formula one racing and the Juventus. He loved life, family, friends, food, wine, and all animals, particularly birds and dogs. Tony was the beloved husband of Michelle Florea-Garaffa and the dear son of Antonietta (nee Raso) Garaffa and the late Angelo Garaffa. He is survived by his siblings Joe (Rose) Garaffa, Ned (Christine) Garaffa, Francesca Garaffa, Rose (Joe) Stangherlin and John (Rosella) Garaffa, and by nieces and nephews: Jessica, Ryan, Antonella, Jonathan, Cristian, Sebastian, Stefen, Alyssa, Vanessa, Serena and the late Jennifer. He was the great-uncle of Rhilynn, Miyah and Carter. Tony was loved by many uncles, aunts and cousins. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Sunday, May 10, 2015 and Monday, May 11, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Tony will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital (Ambulatory Care), to the Guelph Humane Society, or to the Guelph Wish Fund For Children would be appreciated by the family.
