Valerie O'Leary

O'Leary, Valerie Gertrude - Our Cheerleader has left us. It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Valerie on May 6, 2010 at St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, Guelph. Valerie was a very special person much admired by her family, countless friends and acquaintances and will be remembered for her caring ways, her distinctive infectious laugh and generous outgoing nature. It will never be the same without her strong spirit and warm presence. Valerie was the cherished and beloved wife of John. She was the proud and very loving mother of Jeffrey (Vicki) of Canton, Ga., Leslie (John) of Victoria, B.C., Susan of Woodbridge, Va., Mark of Toronto, ON, and Steven (Shannon) of Dumfries, Va. Valerie was the loving mother of chosen daughter Nicole Zhu of Mississauga, ON. She will be lovingly remembered by her much loved grandchildren Ali, Sydney, Jack, Laura, Bridgette, Dalton, Blake and her many wonderful nephews and nieces. Valerie will be remembered with great love and affection by her brothers whom she loved dearly, Reginald "Bud" Coe (Carole) of Orlando, Fla., and Bruce Coe (Dale) of Gilbert, Arizona. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her sisters-in-law and their spouses, Camilla (Dan) Mulvihill of Newcastle, ON, Yvonne (Peter) Donoghue of Waterloo, ON, and Patricia (Robert) McGarry of Cumberland, ON. Cremation has taken place. At Valerie's request there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life and reception will be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, "Hart Chapel". May her inspiring strength, endurance and dedication to family live on through each of us.
