I’m saddened by the news 
Fredo was a good and likable person
I was fortunate to help him instruct a class at the college. He was a friend and I will miss him

Alfredo was so great and kind, like that of an Angel. He was my neighbor and will be forever missed. I enjoyed our spontaneous conversations in passing in the summer. He was so genuine and loyal and I noticed that from a far. He was devoted to his family and well respected. He was so helpful and knowledgeable!! We will miss you sir!! We salute you as you were a General in our eyes!! He was the best representation of how a Man, Husband, Father, son and friend should live. Thank you for being so genuine. 

Fredo was a great man, teacher, and friend. Him and Octavio were a big part of my life and I thank them both to this day. They gave me the confidence to go into the field and be a master at my trade. Fredo was the lenient teacher while Octavio was the strict one. They made a great team. Fredo would level with me on my bad days, help me when I didn't believe in myself, and when I screwed up, he would make it a learning lesson. I have some many good memories of us at the SEMA show, Skills USA, and in class. I can't explain how important he was to my life and other students at CLC. So hopefully my feelings get a cross.

 My condolences go out to all of his friends and family. He will be missed.


Alfredo was my teacher at CLC. He was a big influence on me and a great mentor to all his students. I'm a painter today because of all the great lessons and tips I got from  Alfredo and Octavio.  Every paint job I do now will be for Alfredo. I'm doing my best to make him proud. You'll be missed Alfredo.

I’m just thankful that this is not our permanent home.

Proud to have shared many laughs and memories with you friend thanks for everything you shared and taught us. Thank you for being the perfect teacher as well as friend. Love you forever always. Rest easy Fredo!

Alfredo Rios was the most gentle and humble teacher I have ever had. He wanted all his students to succeed and pursue their careers.  He looked out for one another and when someone needed help he would rise to the  occasion; just like when I had my very first  seizure Alfredo was there and took action to make sure I didn't hurt myself and made sure I got the care I needed by the paramedics.  I'll always remember him for saving me in my time of need and destress. I will never forget his great big smiles and funny jokes during class. We are all suffering but need to remember all the good that he did and the days that made us smile even when we were down. 

I had the honor of working with Alfredo for many years in the auto body trade when he was just learning how to paint.  I was amazed how quickly he picked up the trade and very proud that I had a hand in his rapid development.  He went on to become an excellent automotive refinisher before he went on to become a teacher and mentor to many others. I will miss him dearly and will always have a special place in my heart for him and his family. 

I had the pleasure of working with Alfredo at Classic Chevrolet  for many years . He was always a great coworker & a fun guy to be around, but more than that, he was a true friend.  He would give you the shirt off his back! Even his Packers shirt! 
I also taught at CLC with him and we always had a great time teaching together and having classes together in the shop. He will be so greatly missed. Alfredo called me not long ago to invite me to Octavio’s birthday but unfortunately I was not able to make the drive up north, but I loved catching up with him on the phone. Looking back, I sure wish I could have made it. I wanted to see him and all the guys from the college. Many prayers & blessings go out to his Wife and Children. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, and give you grace. All our love Todd and Julie.

Fredo was a one of a kind instructor, he wasn’t afraid to share his mistakes so that they could be learned from. We would talk about being dads and how to navigate parenthood. I never doubted for a second that if I needed anything from him, he wouldn’t hesitate. That’s the kind of person he was. I’ll miss him very much, and I truly hope to see him again some day.

We will miss your laughter, your kindness, your presence, your ambition, everything. Thank you for making my cousin a happy wife and mother. You are everything to them and everyone who surrounded you. Love you Free

Fredo will be missed by so many. I worked with him for a lot of years at Classic. We met in 1997 when I started in the body shop and he was the first person there to teach me how to paint cars. I learned a lot from him and it helped me so much throughout my career. Not only was he great at his job, he was a great person all around and a good friend.  I will miss him.
