Catherine "Katie" "Katie" Danson

Catherine M. “Katie” Danson 91, passed away March 10, 2011 at home. She was born in Chicago, IL on December 1, 1919. Catherine was a member of First Congregational Church more than 30 years and belonged to various women’s groups. Catherine was past president of Church Women United and was part of the Waukegan Historical Society. She was also a member of the Social Belles Bowling League up to the age of 85. She had a generous heart and supported many charities. She loved rainbows, butterflies, and hugs. Survived by her 5 loving children Grace Pagliuco (Joe Kroll), John W. (Sue) Danson, Kay (Robert) Andersen, Robert (Linda) Danson, Edward Danson and son-in-law, John Kensy; grandchildren Cathy Maloney (Al), Chris Danson, Kurt (Robin) Danson, Barry Andersen, Nancy (Dustin) Harrington, Ryan Andersen, Zach (Nyfa) Danson, R. Tyler Danson, Katie Rae Danson and Eric Danson; great-grandchildren, Tina, Steven, Dylan, Ethan, Kaden, Christopher and Brent; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John O. Danson and her daughter Jean Kensy.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 14, 2011 from 4 to 8pm and Tuesday 10 to 11am with funeral service following at 11am Marsh Funeral Home. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity
