Christopher is survived by his partner of 25 years, Isabel Rodriguez; children Anastacia, Jasmine, Ariel, and Christopher Montano; Mother Juanita Montano; sister Jillian Montano; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his son, Christopher Ramon Montano, Jr, brother Steven Montano, grandparents Ramon Montano and Nancy Croschere, and Aunt Gina Diaz.
Christopher was born in Waukegan on November 9th, 1979. He attended Waukegan High School. In 2000, his sister unknowingly introduced him to the love of his life, Isabel. Together, the two raised four children whom Christopher loved dearly.
He was the type of person who made everyone he encountered feel special. Chris was known among his family and friends as a jokester. He could talk trash with the best of them. He would say hello to everyone he met, lent a hand wherever he could, and was truly a kind-hearted, friendly person. As a Union Steward with the USPS, he would take extra time to listen to and advise his fellow colleagues through different situations, even when it took away from his own free time. He was dedicated and worked hard for USPS. He took pride in his work, loved his route, and everyone he encountered.
He enjoyed watching anime with his kids, trying (and often finding) his luck with lottery, and listening to music. In his downtime, he found great joy as something of a foodie: Food Network, talking about food like Guy Fieri, and cooking when he had the chance.
More than anything, he loved his family so dearly. They were his world, and they could see it in all he would do for them.
His love and kindness, and jokester self will be greatly missed, and forever cherished.
