Dorothy Grace Bader

Dorothy Grace Bader, age 97, of Waukegan passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Vista Medical Center-East. Dorothy was born on February 28, 1928 in Waukegan, IL to Stanley and Dorothy Bardusky. She attended local schools and graduated from Waukegan High School. Dorothy was united in marriage to Howard Bader. For some years, she worked for Sears in Waukegan, the phone company and as a receptionist for Dr. Carl Zeit. What she will most be known for by her family is being a great: wife, mother, grandmother and all around wonderful woman who loved her family and friends. For 52 years(starting in the early 70’s) she was with TOPS (T-Taking O-Off P-Pounds S-Sensibly), she was the group’s Sunshine lady. Dorothy was an avid Mickey Mouse Fan and loved that they were born in the same year. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, whether it was shopping or spending time at the family cabin in Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by, her husband, Howard and her son, Thomas.

Dorothy is survived by, her son, Michael (Mary)Beth Bader; her daughter, Kathleen Ann Bader; Jason Bader( Grandson)-Kristy Bader( Wife)-Logan Bader(Great Grandson)-Garrett Bader( Great Grandson)-Owen Bader( Great Grandson).

Private family services were held.
