Duane Thomas Ropel

Duane Thomas Ropel, age 63, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020. He was born October 5, 1956. He was an army veteran. Duane was a wonderful father and husband, he devoted his life to his country and his family. He also knew how to put a smile on everyone's face.

He is survived by his children; Thomas (Fiancé Casey) Ropel and Diana (Tim) Glende; grandson, Oliver Ropel; siblings, Mike (Jacque) Ropel, Lynn (Mike) Derrick, David Ropel, Sandy Koceja- late husband Greg;

4 nieces, and 2 nephews

Duane was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lynn Ropel and his parents, John and Shirley Ropel.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 1pm at Marsh Funeral Home, Gurnee, IL. Interment to follow and will take place at Ft. Sheridan Cemetery, Vatner Rd. Ft. Sheridan, IL.
