

Elizabeth J. Moore,(nee Youngberg) (Betty Jo) 81 of Kenosha, WI died Sunday April 29th after her long courageous battle with cancer, her daughters were by her side. Born on March 29th, 1931 in Evanston, Illinois to Harold and Elizabeth (Wood) Youngberg. Betty lived in Evanston, Gages Lake, Waukegan IL and Scottsdale AZ. She was always busy raising her four children, volunteering at her children's schools and the women's club at her church, and working at Warren Township HS. Betty enjoyed traveling throughout the US with her long time partner Bob, making many friends along the way. She enjoyed playing the One-Arm Bandit in Vegas, one of her favorite destinations. Betty never complained about her illness or the pain she was in. She told everyone she was fine and enjoyed each day until the end. It is hard to describe such a remarkable person in just a few words. We will miss and love her, but she will live on through the many wonderful memories she gave us. She will be in our hearts forever. Betty is survived by her daughters, Linda (Richard Kanas) Moore, Libertyville IL, Terry (Monty) Fennell nee Moore, Beach Park IL, and Christine (Alan) Wilhelm nee Moore, Waukegan IL; daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Don) Hendrix TX; sisters, Jean Jorgenson, Janet (Albert) Wendt; special cousins, Marge (Clare) Schildgen, Sharon Sharpe; grandchildren, Bryan, Nicholas, Nathan, Patrick, Sarah, Ranell, Leia; great-grandchildren nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by her best friend and partner Bob Benning, son John M. Moore, parents Harry and Elizabeth Youngberg. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m., memorial service at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday May 6, 2012, at Marsh Funeral Home 305 Cemetery Road, Gurnee.
