

Fedelina Mamawan Cano was born in Candaba, Pampanga, Philippines, to Victor Mamawan and Quintina Jayco Mamawan. A devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, Fedelina lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and deep love for her family.
She worked as a child care provider and, through her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication, raised eight children. Among her many accomplishments, she was the only one of her siblings to immigrate to the United States—an achievement that opened doors and opportunities for generations to come.
Fedelina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emilio Cano Sr., and her son, Ernesto Cano. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Emilio Cano Jr. and his wife Fe; Efren Cano and his wife Maribel; Eloida Martin and her husband Danilo; Elizabeth Cano; Elenita Lapuz; Evelyn DuBois and her husband Reynaldo; and Emerito Cano and his wife Peggy. She was a proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to 18 great-grandchildren.
Fedelina was the last surviving sibling in her family, with all of her brothers and sisters having preceded her in death.
Fedelina's life was a beautiful testament to perseverance, selflessness, and the enduring strength of a mother’s love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family and all who knew her.
A visitation for Fedelina will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. Last Viewing & Chapel Service on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 9:00 AM followed by Chapel prayers at 10:00 AM at Marsh Funeral Home. Her final resting place will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 33100 Hunt Club Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.
