Ferdinand "Frankie" Calderon

Ferdinand Calderon was husband to Elena, married for 62 years, and father to Esther, Lisa (Patrick), and Christina. Grandpa to Erol, Dakota, Sara, Ethan, Noah, Kennedy, Logan and Francesca.

Papa loved to fish and had the ability to make everyone laugh. He was always welcoming, whether they were friends, family, or strangers. He had such a big heart. Papa loved his grandkids and wanted them to succeed and achieve their dreams.

Papa is preceded in death by daughter Christina Calderon, siblings Lupe Calderon, Mary Calderon, Ralph Calderon, Lencho Calderon, Jose Calderon, Philip Ayala, sister-in-law Deelores Perez, nephews Anthony and Andrew Perez. He is survived by his wife Elena, loving children Esther and Lisa, sibling Teresa Ayala, and many grandchildren who adored him greatly.

A visitation for Ferdinand will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St Anastasia Catholic Church (Little Flower Parish), 624 Douglas Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085. A graveside service will immediately follow the Mass Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.
