Gerald N. Larsen

Jerry was a member of Trinity United Lutheran Church in Waukegan. He volunteered his time in many different roles to support the church. Jerry was a lifelong member of the Waukegan Yacht Club, where he served as Commodore. Jerry also served as President of the National Marine Retailer’s Association of America.

Jerry dedicated his life to the boatyard his father founded. Jerry worked alongside his dad and brother, Ken, to grow Larsen Marine Service into the largest privately-owned full-service marina on Lake Michigan. When his children Brian and Greg were older, they joined their cousins and parents to continue expanding Larsen Marine. Jerry also enjoyed traveling with his wife Helga and boating on Lake Michigan with numerous Yacht Club friends. Jerry gave of his time willingly in support of his passions and community.

He is preceded in death by his parents Milton and Violet Morstadt Larsen, his cherished wife of 54 years, Helga Binde Larsen and his brother Kenneth.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons Brian (Christine) Larsen, Gregory (Laura) Larsen; his grandchildren Nicolette (Chris) Nowak, Courtney (Austin) Conn, Cameron Larsen, Ryan Larsen; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Gerald will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Trinity United Lutheran Church, 658 Grand Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085. A graveside service will occur Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Warren Funeral Home, Cemetery & Mausoleum, 1475 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Gerald Larsen can be made to the American Lung Association.
