Harold McPherson

Harold McPherson passed away Sunday April 9th, 2023 in Lindenhurst, Illinois. He was born March 19th, 1928 in Rockland, Ohio, where he then resided in Center Village, Ohio for the majority of his life.

Harold served as a Staff Sergeant in United States Army for several years before meeting his wife Joan (nee Bachman). Harold was a devoted Christian and led his life telling others he did not worry as he would say “God is in control”. Harold was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather through his remarkable 95 years of life. His friends and family would say he was the most selfless and hard-working individual they ever knew, meanwhile, always knowing how to joke around. He will always be remembered by reminding everyone how much he loved his family.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Grace (nee Wright) McPherson; wife Joan McPherson (nee Bachman); mother and father-in law; daughter-in-law Laura (Douglas) McPherson; and brothers and sister.

Harold is survived by his son, Douglas (Tammy) McPherson; sister Margaret Burkhammer; grand-children, Michelle (Richard) Healy, Tyler (Alexis) McPherson, Ellie (Matthew) Banis, Kyla McPherson, and several great-grandchildren.
