Helen Marie Gordon

Helen Marie Gordon, 88, of Gurnee, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22nd, 2010 at home. She was born March 28th, 1921 in Augusta, MI. She was a life long resident of Waukegan and Gurnee, IL. Helen was a homemaker and the Bookkeeper for the Family Electrical Business. She was an avid bowler during the 1950's and 1960's at Grand Bowl. She was "mom" to many American Legion Baseball players during the 1960's and 1970's. She loved word search and playing cards, but most of all, she loved her family. Her husband, her sons, daughters-in-law, grandkids and great-grandkids. She is survived by four sons, Kit (Kathy) Gordon, Dennis (Pam) Gordon, Terry (Nancey) Gordon, Perry (Laura) Gordon; nine grandchildren, Heidi (Curt) May, Todd (Patty) Gordon, Hollie (Doug) Burns, Lori and Kelly Gordon, Jodi (Kevin) Leafblad, Jeff Gordon, McKenzie and Wes Gordon; 12 great-grandchildren, Samantha and Charlie May, Scottie and Hallie Gordon, Mallory, Quenton, Avery and Colton Burns, Madi, Kennedy, Evan and Olin Leafblad. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gordon; brothers, Leo and Merle Gossard; and sister, Dorothy Kennedy. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 25th, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Funeral Service to be private.
