James E. Martz

James E. Martz, 80, of Gurnee, IL passed away April 5, 2011 at Condell Medical Center. He was born September 15, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. James was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a U.S. Navy Veteran C.B. He was a third generation Pipefitter of Local 597 Chicago. James is survived by his wife Betty M. of 60 years; two children, James M. (Tina) Martz and Betty Jeanne Bishop; five grandchildren, Stephanie Neel, James V. (Katelyn Schrambeck) Martz, Susan (Nick Arnold) Martz, Andrew C. Martz and Katherine Bishop; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Abigail Neel, and Hailey Martz; one sister, Carolyn Cowdrey; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one son John C. Martz; two brothers Clifton M. and Jackson N. Martz.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2011, from 5 to 8pm at Marsh Funeral Home with a memorial service on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran, 824 N. Lewis, Waukegan, Illinois.
